Meet Beautiful Marco - Gastrointestinal, Urogenital, Cancer and Cardiac Support

History: ​Marco is a beautiful, 15-year-old male, Toy Poodle, who I have been working with holistically for a couple of years.
 
He presented to me for holistic support of his mast cell tumours, gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, kidneys, bladder, cardiac function and levels of anxiety.

• Sonographic findings diagnosed non-obstructive kidney stones, and small crystals in his bladder.  
• He has a grade 3/6 heart murmur with mild mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation -diagnosed via echocardiography.  
• Blood tests supported pancreatic inflammation.

He gets anxious, particularly if left on his own. 
His teeth are stable (TEEF is used in the water).
He had gastrointestinal symptoms of vomiting/diarrhoea/haemorrhagic gastroenteritis (especially if stressed, e.g. separation anxiety).

Treatment Goals:

• Support gastrointestinal and pancreatic health.
• Support the heart, kidneys, bladder, crystalluria.
• Provide immune/cancer support.

 
Treatment Recommendations:

• A balanced non-processed diet was introduced, including broth. 
• Prebiotics and probiotics were introduced. 
• Two Traditional Chinese Remedies were incorporated to support congestive heart failure, pancreatitis, urogenital tract and cancer.
• Medicinal Mushrooms were included for their anti-tumour, immunostimulant and powerful antioxidant properties. 
• Other supplements including fish oils, digestive enzymes, glucosamine, CBD (legal in Australia) and deer velvet.
• Essential oils were discussed to help with the anxiety. (Many essential oils are adulterated/synthetic, it is very important to get guidance around the use of these). 
• Ozone therapy and ways to administer this treatment modality were discussed.
• Acupuncture

 
Outcome:
His gastrointestinal symptoms stabilised, with minimal vomiting and improved stool quality. His mast cell tumours stabilised and reduced in size. His cardiac and urinary tract health was maintained well.  His anxiety, while still present, has improved.
