Marco – Gastrointestinal, Urogenital and Heart Disease
Marco is a beautiful, 15-year-old male, Toy Poodle.
He had congestive heart failure, kidney/bladder stones, pancreatic inflammation, anxiety, a mast cell tumour and a history of gastrointestinal symptoms. Treatment Goals: To support gastrointestinal, pancreatic, kidney, bladder, cancer, immune and cardiac health.
Integrative Treatment Plan: A balanced non-processed diet was introduced, including broth pre/probiotics. Herbal remedies, medicinal mushrooms, fish oils, digestive enzymes, glucosamine, CBD (legal in Australia) and deer velvet were also incorporated. The herbs were aimed at supporting his heart, gastrointestinal, pancreas, kidney, liver, bladder and immune/cancer status.
Other modalities included: Essential oils to help with the anxiety. (Many essential oils are adulterated/synthetic, it is very important to get guidance around the use of these) Ozone therapy and acupuncture
Outcome: His gastrointestinal symptoms stabilised, with minimal vomiting and improved stool quality. His mast cell tumours reduced in size and his cardiac and urinary tract health was maintained well. His anxiety, while still present, has improved.
