Tarn – Urinary Incontinence & Immune Support

Tarn is a beautiful, adorable, sassy 2 ½ year old desexed female Border Collie.

She was rescued as a young puppy and rehomed with me at 5 months of age. When she was initially rescued she nearly died secondary to an infection in the kidneys and bladder. This has resulted in an weakness in her urinary retention resulting in intermittent urinary incontinence.

Treatment Goals: To stop the urinary incontinence and prevent infection. To support the immune system and her general wellbeing.

Integrative Treatment Plan:

She has had urinary health checks and blood tests ruling out any ongoing infection or disease. She is now on a raw food diet from Raw Essentials, fish oils, pre/probiotics a herbal tincture with herbs such as Crataeva and Marshmallow, along with a Heel remedy to support bladder health.

Titre testing before vaccinations are given is undertaken.

She does not receive chemical wormers and has ‘Faecal Egg Counts’ to check potential worm status prior to worming, she is only wormed if necessary.

Outcome: A significant reduction in the frequency of incontinence episodes on the above treatment protocol. She receives intermittent courses of herbs and homotoxicology as needed.
